Let me tell to you, young aspiring kids, especially in Singapore. As a Singapore JC student, life is really really hard. It was a big jump from secondary school to JC because the things taught in sec school is soooooo simplified that in JC level, these things are literally peanuts. Hahaha! When I was in Secondary school, i find that everything i learnt was soooo hard. Now at JC level, the same things are taught, but more in depth, more details needed to be memorise. For me, i took Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Social Study, A and E maths, and languages at my secondary level. Now although i just took BCMG (Bio, Chem, Maths & Geo), this means lesser subjects = easier and better life. However, this is NOT true. Learning Bio at JC level is crazy. Learning maths at JC level is mental. Learning chem at JC level is bonkers. Haha you know what i mean, JC life is just plain sad and hard. I'm not exaggerating or anything. This is what I view my life in JC. Maybe because I'm not naturally smartass, or hardworking. I like to party a lot and like to enjoy life. I dont think "forced" studying is enjoyable coz you know, who likes to be forced? Haha! I'm obliged to study coz if I dont study, it will be harder to find job in future. Soooo studying is still a must, especially in Asian countries. I heard that students in non-Asian countries have a more rounded and enjoyable school life. They dont just study excessively like Asian students do. They also do things that they like, such as community projects and adventure camps. In Singapore, I dont have these luxury. I always wanted to play and have fun during the holidays. But my holidays are just packed with homework and revisions because right after the holidays, I will have exams/tests. Oh gosh! This sucks soooo bad. This is my life in a nutshell. But of course, as a saying goes "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy", I also managed to squeeze in some time for leisure, such as karaoke and playing instrument/sports. Not much i can do though, coz time passes really fast and time is really precious, at least to me. Alright enough of ranting. Haha I think i like to complain a lot (well-known "typical Singaporean" characteristic, anyway I just love to complain over small things. If not, life will be really boring)
Overall, studying in Singapore is not that bad, only when you can manage your time really well and know how to set your priorities right. Even if you cant do this now, trust me, just by studying in Singapore and you will definitely learn this "rule" in no time. Hahaha! Anyway I gotta go. This will be my second last blog post I'm gonna write because I really have no time. So yeah! In my next (last) post, I'm gonna write about how my experience is like when I have an attachment to a hospital this year. So yeah! Stay tune!
