A week with ZhuHai students in Singapore
Well... The ZhuHai students came to my school on 23 July 2011 and I've such a great time with them. My Zhuhai Buddy is called Xie JingYi. She's kinda quiet and it's quite hard to communicate with her as you know, my standard of Chinese is so bad that the Zhuhai students could not understand me. Lols... As time passes by, my relationship with her is getting better as I continues to understand her family background.
She came from a middle income family. She is not very bubbly. It's really hard commicating with her. She need to study 15 subjects, while I only studies 9 subjects. Wow... It's mad to study so many subjects!!! I hardly keep up with my 9 subjects. Okay back to the topic, she went to many place of interests in Songapore such as Sentosa, Little India, Marina Bay and more. And she's 15 years old. But her standard of Chinese is soooooo high that I need to ask my Chinese teacher what she's trying to tell me. Is my Chinese really that bad??? ><
On 26 July 2012, My buddy and I went out together without teacher's guidance. I thought its going to turn out great. However, my friends told me to go Singapore Discovery Centre with them. I hesitated for a while and gladly accepted their invitation. Frankly speaking, I've went to science centre so many times that I could draw a map of Science Centre. I went there at least 3 times already and now, I'm going there again? NOooooo WAAAAaay!!!! In the end, JingYi went in with my friends only. I went home to have lunch with my mum at Manhattan Fish Market. Yummy~~~ I love their rice. Hehehe... Anyway after that, JingYi got into trouble. She went off herself in Science Centre, causing everyone to search high and low for her. Sigh... Then they was so pissed that they told me to pick her up instead. Of course, I picked her up and she's really a good player of 'hide and seek'. I brought her to Bugis Street for a shopping spree. She slips off my back and made me worried sick. And... I found her in the toilet. What the hell?! And then she said she don't want to buy sneakers, she wants track shoes. Most of the shops in Bugis don't sell track shoes so I brought her to Junction 8 to allow her to choose her track shoes. Finally, she bought 2 track shoes and a bag for her mum. I was like (-_-). Why do you want to go Bugis and not buying anything there!? Waste time... Haiz... Disappointing!!!! At my 'last' destination, I brought her to eat durians. Muhahahaha.. Durian is No. 1 most sought after fruit in Singapore as it's now Harvest season when durians taste the best!!! While we are eating durians, she told me how their 'durians' are grown... Blah blah.... I'm not very interested. Lols! And then I brought her to eat Braised Duck Rice, while I bought Filet-o- fish for myself as she can eat way faster than me. Then then we Chiong back to school. It feels totally like Amazing Race. In the end, I reached school the first. WOW!!! That's great!!! Then I went back home happily. But this is not the end yet... I need to prepare for the Farewell party the next day. Shit... I'm so dead. Shouldn't have prepare last minute.
Okay... Its late now... I shall tell you more interesting stuffs next time. Sorry for my sloppish story. But I'll upload pictures and videos when I'm free. So yeah... See you! :)
